Human Space Flight (1961-2021)

This visualisation shows all the orbital space flights over the last 60 years. Each line represents one astronaut's flight. The length of the line is the duration of the mission for that astronaut. Note, some missions have multiple lines of different lengths as astronauts may return to earth at different times, such as when rotating crew on space stations.
The version below breaks out various metrics, such as the approximate time in space and number of missions for each country and what percentage of missions docked to a space station or landed on the moon. You can interact with the visualisation here to learn more.
The data is sourced from the multiple "List of human spaceflights" pages on Wikipedia as of 12 April 2021.
